Insulating fire bricks for use in applications from 1000°c to 1760°c.
The bricks are made from high purity refractory clays, other ceramic raw materials, wooddust and organic fillers which will be burned out during firing to give a uniform controlled pore structure to achieve the insulation values needed in the application.
The insulating firebricks are recommended for use as a primary refractory lining or as back up insulation behind other refractories in furnaces, kilns, ladles, incinerators and many more different sorts of high temperature industrial equipment.
The lightweight of our insulating firebricks with accompanying high insulation value makes it possible to design with thinner furnace walls, better efficiency and lower heat storage resulting in lower operating cost.
The high hot and cold strenght of the ifb’s allows for self supporting structures even at high temperature.
Due to it’s low density the ifb has lower heat storage resulting in reduced fuel cost, faster heat up and cooling down in critically operated kilns.
